Drive systems

Right Angle Gear Motor

The reducer turns the drive through 90°, so the motor can sit along the machine instead of sticking out from the conveyor.

Conveyor movement comes through a right-angle reducer and a jaw-coupled connection. A cast aluminum housing, hardened steel gearing and fixed- or variable-speed options help fit the drive into the machine layout.

How it fits

How it fits your conveyor.

  1. Right-angle placement

The reducer turns the drive path through a right angle, so the motor and conveyor connection point in different directions. On the listed casting-mount arrangement, a jaw coupling makes the conveyor connection. We coordinate the coupling and mounting with the space you have.

In practiceThe motor can run parallel to the conveyor or machine frame where there’s no room straight out.

  2. Gearbox construction

Hardened steel gears inside a cast aluminum housing carry the movement through the reducer. Two anti-friction bearings support the worm, and synthetic lubricant is sealed in the gearbox.

In practiceThe gearbox is sealed, with its lubricant kept inside.

Drive position

Where each drive sits on the conveyor

The drive goes where the machine leaves room: on the shaft, in line with it, at a right angle, or underneath the frame.

Options

Configured for your line.

  • Motors and control

    90V DC, 115V single-phase AC, 208V single-phase AC, 230V single-phase and 230/460V three-phase AC, in fixed- and variable-speed arrangements.

  • Mounting and protection

Flange, foot or face mounting; optional enhanced sealing and custom gear ratios. We confirm the mounting, sealing and controller for the package.

Technical details

The numbers, with their scope.

Power, torque and RPM figures are references for the drive package, not conveyor load or belt-speed ratings. The selected motor, reduction ratio and duty decide the actual output; we confirm them for your conveyor.

Service and support

Service access

The coupling sits between the reducer and the conveyor connection. Keeping that connection and the gearmotor mounts reachable lets the drive be serviced in the machine; we plan adjustment and removal space with cable routing and guarding.

The sealed gearbox doesn’t replace the operating and service instructions for your drive and conveyor.
