Inline Gear Motor Packages

A gearmotor in line with the conveyor shaft, in three motor types: fixed speed, adjustable-speed brushless DC, and watertight for wet areas.

An inline gearmotor connects to the conveyor through a jaw coupling. Fixed-speed, brushless DC variable-speed and watertight motors cover steady movement, a changing line pace and water exposure.

How it fits

How it fits your conveyor.

  1. Inline drive arrangement

The gearmotor output connects to the conveyor through a jaw coupling, passing rotation between the drive and conveyor shafts. The motor, reducer and coupling take up space together; we fit them around the frame and nearby equipment.

  2. Steady or adjustable pace

A fixed-speed motor runs at a selected pace. A brushless DC motor and controller let the pace change, for example to follow adjoining equipment.

Belt speed comes from the motor, gearing and conveyor pulley together; an adjustable motor alone doesn’t set the usable range.

In practiceThe conveyor can follow the equipment around it when the line speeds up or slows down.

Drive position

Where each drive sits on the conveyor

The drive goes where the machine leaves room: on the shaft, in line with it, at a right angle, or underneath the frame.

Options

Configured for your line.

  • Fixed-speed and brushless DC motors

40–90 W fixed-speed and 60–120 W brushless DC variable-speed motors. We match motor power, gearing and pulley to the movement you need.

  • Watertight motors

40–90 W, for installations with water exposure. We match the motor, enclosure and connections to your cleaning conditions; the motor doesn’t make the complete conveyor sanitary.

Technical details

The numbers, with their scope.

Power, torque and RPM figures are references for the drive package, not conveyor load or belt-speed ratings. The selected motor, reduction ratio and duty decide the actual output; we confirm them for your conveyor.

Service and support

Service access

The jaw coupling and gearmotor mounts need to stay reachable after installation. We plan the service approach with cable routing, guards and nearby equipment, including room to remove the motor and reach the coupling.

For a change to an existing drive, we use the conveyor identity and the motor or controller details to check the replacement.
