Conveyors with Convertible Holder System
FlexLoc
A holder system for conveyors: parts ride in guided holders that come off by hand when the part or operation changes.
Guided part holders with tool-free holder and sub-plate changes, for assembly, inspection and part positioning. The holder system works with timing belts and flat belts. We select the conveyor, drive and holder arrangement.
Design it in CAD and export STEP files, or let our engineers design it.

Features
Engineered for the job it does every day.

Primary feature
Tool-free holder changes
FlexLoc holders and sub-plates can be removed without tools, so the product-contact tooling can change when the part or operation changes.
Two tooling choices: removable machined holders, or sub-plates that carry your own holders.
In practiceA product change means changing holders, not reworking the conveyor.
Preloaded holders with guided travel
The mounting system preloads each holder against the belt, and adjustable side rails guide it along its travel, giving the part a defined path during assembly or inspection.
The system uses standard belting, which keeps its full load rating, and reduces stress at the belt joint.
In practiceThe part follows a defined path through assembly or inspection.
Loading depends on the selected conveyor and tooling.
Application-specific part positioning
Typical part positioning accuracy is ±0.01 in.
- With our index drives, this figure is not affected by variation in the belt’s tooth spacing, according to the FlexLoc literature.
- The accuracy you get depends on your setup: how the belt sits sideways, the clearance around the belt teeth, the drive and the holder all play a part.
Holder options
The holder is what your part touches
FlexLoc holders and sub-plates come off without tools, so the tooling can change when the part or the operation does.
- Option 01
Machined holder
A removable holder machined for your part. - Option 02
Sub-plate for your own holder
A removable plate that your own holder mounts to. - Option 03
Magnetic part holder
Another positioning arrangement. Suitability depends on the part material, geometry and orientation.

- ±0.01 in
- Holder change
- Without tools
- Belts
- Timing or flat
Typical positioning depends on the application; we confirm it for yours. Holder length, spacing and end clearance depend on the belt; the holder drawing for that belt gives the length. U.S. Patent No. 6,321,904.

Technical specifications
The numbers, with their conditions.
Belt dimensions and drive choices depend on the selected conveyor. Holder dimensions and the complete installation envelope are separate from belt width; custom dimensions can be requested.

One conveyor, one complete system.
We design the drive, guides and stand with the conveyor, from the same modular system, so the parts are designed to work together.
