Open stainless steel mesh for heat, cooling and drainage

Wire Mesh Belt Conveyor

An open stainless steel belt that lets air and fluid pass straight through, for hot parts, cooling, and draining wet or oily components.

Move small hot parts or drain wet and oily components on a stainless steel wire mesh belt. Rounded supports keep contact with the product low, and damaged belt sections can be replaced one at a time.

Features

Engineered for the job it does every day.

Primary feature

Open belt for airflow and drainage

60% of the belt is open, so air and fluids pass through the conveying surface. Rounded, contoured supports keep contact with the product low during heating, cooling and draining.

A one-piece spiral across the belt keeps it stiff, so it stays supported over frame openings left for air or fluid flow.

Fluids drain sideways through the belt without reaching the return side, and an all-metal belt sheds no fibers or plastic particles and absorbs no odor or flavor.

In practiceAir reaches the part from below and fluids drain through the belt instead of riding along with the part.

Individually replaceable belt sections

Damaged modular sections can be replaced one at a time.

In practiceA damaged area is repaired by replacing that section, not the whole belt.

Needs access to the belt joints and return path.

Individual belt sections can be replaced where damage occurs.
  • Positive-traction, centering drive

A stainless steel drive pulley grips and centers the belt, preventing slipping and tracking problems. A flanged idler on bearings supports it and cuts sprocket engagement wear by 50%.

In practiceWith belt and frame both stainless, there’s no thermal-expansion mismatch to compensate for.

  • Sealed bearings and drives

Sealed for life, with no further lubrication. Cleaning, inspection and section replacement still need access.

In practiceNo routine lubrication in your maintenance schedule.

Guide rails

Guide rails by part temperature

The mesh belt and frame are stainless steel. The guide rails are chosen for how hot the parts are and how the line is cleaned.

  • General purpose

    UHMW

    Standard guides for most parts.
  • Up to 500°F

    High-temperature UHMW

For hot parts coming off heating operations.
  • Up to 1000°F

    Stainless steel

For the hottest parts, and for washdown.
  • Accessories

    T-slot rails

Anodized aluminum rails with two T-slots for mounting accessories.

Temperatures are for the guides only, not the whole conveyor or the surrounding area.

Options and accessories

Choose the style and drive, the guides, and the cleaning and frame options.

  1. 01Style and drive

We match drive placement and controls to the application.

    • Standard and Automation styles

In SAE and metric versions, with the drive at the end or in the center.

  2. 02Guide rails

Temperatures below are for the guides only, not the whole conveyor or the surrounding area.

    • UHMW

      General-purpose guides.

    • High-temperature UHMW

      For parts up to 500°F.

    • Stainless steel

For washdown, or parts up to 1000°F.

    • T-slot rails

Optional anodized aluminum rails with two T-slots for mounting accessories.

  3. 03Cleaning and frame

Configured around the process and flow.

    • Internal spray washing

Optional automatic spray on the return side covers the full belt and flushes back through the mesh.

    • Washdown version

On special order. Suitability depends on cleaning method, chemicals, exposure and access.

    • Custom sizes and frame openings

Custom widths and lengths; cut-outs in the frame for cooling or drainage.

One conveyor, one complete system.

We design the drive, guides and stand with the conveyor, from the same modular system, so the parts are designed to work together.
