MPB Optimizer

Modular Plastic Belt Conveyor

A plastic belt made of interlocking modules, with a wide choice of surfaces and materials, and belts that change in minutes without tools.

The MPB Optimizer serves food processing, packaging and pharmaceutical applications. It combines replaceable belting, access underneath for cleaning and maintenance, and a choice of belt surfaces, materials and drive arrangements.

Features

Engineered for the job it does every day.

Modular Plastic Belt Conveyor
Tool-free belt changes take minutes, and belt threading does not require disengaging the drive.

Primary feature

Tool-free belt change in minutes

Belts can be changed in minutes without tools, and the design lets you thread a new belt without disengaging the drive. The belt and drive need to stay accessible.

In practiceBelts come off and go back on without tools, and without disconnecting the drive.

Access underneath without separating the belt

The conveyor gives access beneath the conveying surface for cleaning and maintenance without separating the belt.

In practiceCleaning and maintenance under the belt don’t start with taking the belt apart.

Modular Plastic Belt Conveyor
Interior access for cleaning and maintenance while the belt stays joined.
  • Belt tracking and sprocket engagement

The belt wraps 200° around each sprocket. Tracking at the drive and tail sprockets guides the belt, and sprocket preloading and self-synchronization control how it engages. Low chordal-action sprockets and the right back tension complete the arrangement.

In practiceLonger belt and sprocket life, steadier products and less noise, with no sideways belt drift to wear belt edges and guide strips.

  • Low-profile drive and tail

The drive and tail sections are kept low for installations with limited space.

  • Sealed bearings

Self-aligning ball bearings, sealed for life. All are standard parts, available worldwide.

In practiceNo routine bearing lubrication in your maintenance schedule.

Options and accessories

Choose the belt surface and material, the drive arrangement, and how products are guided and handled.

  1. 01Belt surface and material

Pitch and width combinations vary by belt style.

    • Surfaces

Flat Top, Grip Top, Flush Grid, Mesh Top, Nub Top, Roll Top, flights, diamond top and other open styles.

    • Materials

Polypropylene for chemical resistance; polyethylene for low temperatures and impact; acetal for low friction and cut resistance; polyamide for strength and abrasion.

    • Special compounds

Detectable by X-ray and metal detectors, low electrical resistance, UV resistant, flame retardant, or for hot parts. Chosen for your conditions.

  2. 02Drive arrangement

End or center drive, with single- or three-phase motors, variable-speed AC and DC, and reversible options.

    • Compact (fast change)

Needs about 50% less space. The drive itself can be changed in three minutes, and positioned to clear overhung loads. This is a drive change, not a belt change.

    • Below the conveyor

Right-angle or in-line drives mounted underneath.

    • Side mount

A right-angle drive on the side.

  3. 03Guiding and handling

    Transfers, containment and positioning.

    • Entry nose bar

A tighter entry transfer, for 0.5 in pitch belts.

    • Side guides and part holders

Guides keep products on the belt; holders position them. Guide height depends on the product.

    • Sensors, custom sizes and stainless steel

Product detection and control integration; custom widths and lengths; a stainless steel frame chosen around your cleaning method and chemicals.

One conveyor, one complete system.

We design the drive, guides and stand with the conveyor, from the same modular system, so the parts are designed to work together.
