Holders carried on two timing belts
Dual Belt Indexing Conveyor
For parts too wide or awkward for one belt: holders ride on two timing belts, either separately or spanning both, up to 24 in wide.
The Dual Belt Indexing Conveyor carries holders on two timing belts for assembly, inspection and packaging. Guidance along the full working length and calibrated setup plates control where the part sits.
Design it in CAD and export STEP files, or let our engineers design it.

Features
Engineered for the job it does every day.

Primary feature
Separate or spanning holders
Two belts allow two tooling layouts: separate holders carried on each belt, or one holder that spans both belts to support the part.
In practiceThe same conveyor can carry small parts in individual holders or wide parts across both belts.
Calibrated setup plates
Aluminum master plates and sub-plates are calibrated with the belts. This sets the relationship between the belts and the tooling that supports the part during setup.
In practiceThe part-holding tooling starts from a known position relative to the belts.

Guided along the whole working length
Holders are guided along the full working length and supported on the way back underneath, which controls how much they move vertically. Allow for the return path when planning the space.
One-piece pulleys and sealed components
Each drive and tail pulley is machined from a single piece. The indexing arrangement uses sealed components.
Tooling layouts
Two ways to hold the part
With two timing belts, the part can ride on separate holders on each belt, or on one holder that spans both.
- Layout 01
Separate holders
A holder on each belt, carried independently along the working length. - Layout 02
Spanning holder
One holder across both belts to support a wider part. - Setup
Calibrated master plates
Aluminum master plates and sub-plates set the relationship between the belts and the tooling.
- Holder width
- Up to 24 in (610 mm)
- Per belt
- Up to 100 lb (45 kg)
The per-belt load is not a rating for a spanning-holder assembly.

Technical specifications
The numbers, with their conditions.
Holder width is separate from belt width and overall conveyor width. The per-belt load is not the capacity of a complete spanning-holder assembly.

One conveyor, one complete system.
We design the drive, guides and stand with the conveyor, from the same modular system, so the parts are designed to work together.
