Vacuum hold-down for light or unstable products

Vacuum Conveyors

For products too light or unsteady to stay put: suction through a patterned belt holds each one in place and in orientation as it travels.

Vacuum Conveyors hold lightweight or unstable products to the belt when orientation and position matter. A dedicated vacuum module provides the holding pattern, with the drive at the end or in the center.

Features

Engineered for the job it does every day.

Vacuum Conveyors
The vacuum is confined to a dedicated module beneath the patterned belt.

Primary feature

Vacuum kept in its own module

The vacuum is contained in a module, with no vacuum inside the conveyor body. It holds lightweight or unstable products against the belt in transport, with a holding pattern chosen for the product’s contact surface and orientation.

In practiceProducts stay in position and orientation, and the conveyor body itself is never under vacuum.

Changeable vacuum pattern

To change the holding pattern, the module and belt are replaced together with a pair made for the new pattern.

In practiceA new product can be held differently by swapping a matched module and belt.

Module and belt are changed as a matched pair to change the holding pattern.
  • Tool-free belt change

The belt can be changed without tools. Maintenance and pattern changes need access to the belt and vacuum module.

  • Sealed bearings

Bearings are sealed and lubricated for life. Keep access for inspecting the belt, module and conveyor.

In practiceNo routine bearing lubrication in your maintenance schedule.

Holding pattern

Changing the vacuum pattern

The holding pattern is set by the module and belt together, so a pattern change swaps both as a matched pair.

  • Step 01

    Choose the pattern

Matched to the product’s contact surface and the orientation it travels in.
  • Step 02

    A matched module and belt

The module and belt are made as a pair for that pattern.
  • Step 03

    Replace them together

The old pair comes out and the new pair goes in. The vacuum stays in its own module, never in the conveyor body.

The 50 lb load capacity is not a vacuum holding-force rating.

Technical specifications

The numbers, with their conditions.

The holding force a product needs is separate from the conveyor’s load capacity. The vacuum pattern and supply depend on the product and motion.
